  • I can see why ! Great work.
  • He was also a big influence on my early modeling. I'm pretty sure I have many of his articles put aside. Now if I knew where??

    Mike S.
  • You've done him proud!...things have come a long way.
  • Roof combs!

  • That is so well done !!! WOW
  • That's cool, love the weathering. What was the purpose of those things?
  • Ken, I believe to keep birds from shatting the roof.
  • how would it stop them? they could just land on it and shat......
  • That's what I was thinking...maybe the tight spacing for a perch would discourage them and assist them and landing on the neighbors roof!
  • How could a bird land on a pointy arrow? We are talking pigeons here. New England pigeons!
  • It is spelled TOO much thought. Three to choose from: to, too, two.
  • Every railroad deserves an arch support to a bridge. I loved driving through these as a kid. I still love driving through these, but being one way, they are all but gone. Remember honking?

  • Good looking scene !!
  • Professional photography Anne Latchis was here yesterday and snapped a few shots. The railroad actually ran fine for ten minutes, then there was a large explosion. I went back downstairs for more cocktails!

Cool to see my project through someone else's eyes.

  • Eric,

Great trucks in the first photo, but then trucks are one of my favorite things in a vignette or on a layout.

Seabee, no. Art portraits and that was many years ago.

Dave, I'm getting quite a few trucks!
  • Great views !!
  • Beautiful layout...
  • Thanks, Ken. Still a very long way to go, but it is improving.
  • Built this for my father who loved DC-3s. The roof fits a hangar converted into a train shed.

  • For those with a sense of humor: look what some wanker wrote across from the BLOW HORN TWICE sign.

    IMG_5800
  • it's too small for my crappy eyes.... :)
  • THe sign says: BLOW HORN TWICE!

The wanker wrote: Blow me once!
  • What is this? Just bought it on eBay.

Kevin....Is Maxwell Street still “Maxwell Street” as it was back in the day?
  • edited July 2019
nope. back in the day it was a crazy place where you could meet practically any type of person you wanted to, and the smell of broiled sausage and grilled onions filled the air. now it's shopping. upscale, so i ain't allowed....
