  • Walls look fantastic Stephen, well done.

I sent you a PM but haven't heard back?
  • Love the color the hoist house walls!
  • Here are a couple of pictures of what is happening on my Deer Creek Mine. There hasn't been much progress lately because I am figuring out the scenery and I am working on adding lights.

Siding looks great Steve, both the base colour and the peel, nice definition under the eaves overhang.
The effects on the boiler came out really nice, dusty and ashy, not rusted out. Nice work on the rest of the details so far.
  • Really nice interior
  • Beautiful job on the hoist house and details. Weathering on the boiler looks especially convincing.
  • Love the interior details. The boiler turned out really nice as well.
  • Thanks for the comments all.
  • Steve…it’s looking so good I might have to come out to Tucson to see it in person….again

  • Just do it Terry!
  • Attached are pictures of the finished Tipple Structure. I have been working on the installation of LED's for lighting. In the first picture, you are looking at stainless steel tubing for conduit for the wiring to the LED's. I used Jax stainless steel solutions to color the tubing. It is a two part process.

I couldn't resist a few broken siding boards. I also will do something to the corrugated roofing.

  • There are a couple of things that I want to share with you on this build.

This photo shows the bottom of the diorama with all the electrical connections. I used a copper conductive tape as bus wires and then soldered the LED wires to it. All the wires are placed in stainless steel tubing. I will then connect a power source to the copper tape making sure the LED's are powered with 3 volts.

The other thing I found these bottles online and they are great for adding ground covers to the diorama in small areas so that you have time to work in the castings.
