Anyone ever used an 18% grey card as a background for build photos?
Just wondering if they would help with exposure and color settings?

If you go to B&H Photo on the web (bhphotovideo.com) use the search term "Savage" and "Seamless" there, and sort the results from low to high price, you'll see a wide variety of background colors including many grays. A 26" wide, 36' long roll is less than $14.
I've got a handful of different colors. Depending on the subject, you sometimes need a different color to make the subject pop.
