HO loco and service shop question.

Hi guys.

I was wondering about the "black" wall in the office interior.
Would it not stand out as unfinished when the roof is removed for display?
Should it not be covered in timber or be a frame?
I notice that there are very few photos showing that wall, (I managed to find one photo)

Just wondering.

John.

  • John, The roof covering the office and machine shop area was not designed to be removable, only the main roof. The black interior of the office wing wall would be difficult to see but is visible through the outside office doors if you choose to position them open...or if you decide to design the entire roof to be removable. I wasn't sure what I was going to do, so I decided to have the wall detailed so I constructed it with wall studs rather than the solid black board. I have attached a picture from my thread on the Loco and Service Shops of that wall...Kenimage
  • Hey Ken,

What "flavor" of chalks did you use to weather this wall?
