Wiring tool
I used 1/2 MDF. The angled portion that the diorama sits on it about 12 or 13" tall.
The slits are cut to fit as can be seen in last two photos. i kind of borrowed this idea from a painting easel and changed it for the specific needs of the dioramas. Also the connecting pices are 3-4" tall? i can get measurements later. But, i wanted enough room to get my hands under the diorama while having everything stable. i think the cross memebers are about 12"? one could cut multiple different lengths depending on the side of base you plan on using. This specifc one was cut on a CNC machine. However, a drill and jig saw will work perfectly fine.
