Sturgeons Sawmill...

When I traveled out to Sacremento for the National Narrow Gauge back in September 2019, I made the side trip up to Sturgeons Sawmill. It was not officailly open when I got there...but I was very lucky that I found Bob Sturgeon wandering around....and after introducing myself and explaining why I was there...I ended up with a 3 hour long personal tour of the sawmill and surrounding grounds....the only thing missing was firing it up with steam to operate....but I got to see the machinery up close....and get some good photo's. Since the SWSM O scale sawmill is somewhat based on this mill...it answered a lot of questions. And I got a 1 on 1 lesson of the operation of the mill....so here's a couple doxen photo's that some of you might find interesting if you are yet to build the mill.....I have some others I can't seem to find on a card somewhere...I may post a few more if I find it...
