  • Thanks guys.

Bill, I'll keep a tutorial in mind when I get around to my next group of figures. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Kevin, I think you can build one for yourself with the right kit. But most SW kits are not the right kits because you want to see all 4 sides of them. I have 2 more builds in mind with non-SW kits...a scratchbuilt piledriver using CHB parts and an oil derrick powered by a Case tractor. One day...but for now, I just started the truck repair shop. I'll post some pics soon.
  • One heck of a nice project, both in modeling prowess and technical ability.
  • Thanks Bryan, I will also look forward to your Truck Repair build as I always see and learn different things in your wonderful builds. I am awaiting my truck repair kit so with Joel's forum build and your upcoming build there will be much to observe.

  • What wheel sets did you use? The discons look great.
  • Carl, I used 26" wheelsets from Foothill Modelworks. Very nice looking wheels. They are made out of a white plastic that takes paint well, but I don't how long that paint would hold up if you were using the wheels on a layout.
  • Thanks. That's what I have, was wondering about the paint holding up.
  • Fantastic modelling, exceptional
