The Beaver Lumber Company Revisited

Perhaps you guys remember my portable exposition layout, The BLC. After I decided it won enough first prizes :) :) hm hm, I took it apart and rebuild it at my home as a fix layout. This gave me the opportunity of placing all the SW structures I've build over the years and also the ones that didn't get a place on the first layout.

I recovered all of the trees of course , and everything I could use again. The overall purpose of this, and my other O-scale french layout, is see the trains passing by whilst I am building brass/bronze loco's and wagons. A few maneuvers are programmed so I don't have to sit at the controls all the time. But it's all very simple you know. Depart, stop, halt etc..

So this is , except for one , the Railroad Post Office which is of my design and construction, an all SW layout.
Of course the photos are taken inside and elements like the sealing beams, windows etc couldn't be avoided. The natural outside light isn't here, but it gives you an impression of what I'm talking about. The little prairie will be the building grounds for The Foundry whenever I have all the structures to be released still. And that will be the last SW build on this layout.

That's all folks, thanks for watching

  • I'm jealous!...I'd love to have a shelf layout and have a train running while I'm at the bench modeling...hmm...may have to re-tool things...wonderfully done and great motivation.
  • Wonderful Robert, thank you as always for sharing your talent. I especially love the shots aimed down the dirt roads. The one in particular I keep looking back to is the sawmill shot with the log stacks lining the roadway.
